An Inviting Escape

Abbot’s Tower is a restored 16th Century Tower House designed in Scottish Renaissance style. Built in c. 1580 at the time of the Scottish Reformation and was once occupied by the last Abbot of the famous Sweetheart Abbey. The ruins of the Abbey are open to the public and are a short walk from the Tower in the pretty conservation village of New Abbey with its pub, shop, corn mill and tea room.

This is truly a hidden secret which is a joy to find. You only receive specific directions when you book! Enchanting inside and out. The warmth of the welcome, the rich collection of carefully selected antiques and luxurious fabrics, and the ever-flickering candles create such an atmosphere you feel the Abbot is about to make an appearance. He would not be disappointed
